This finely made 66-inch round pedestal table has 8-manageable leaves which lock snugly into place around the perimeter of the table. The leaves expand the table from 66-inches round to 90-inches round. When used without leaves, the extensions store neatly and safely behind a lockable door in the included leaf storage cabinet. The leaf storage cabinet is just as beautiful as the table, it has coordinated pie-cut flame mahogany doors and a fine inlaid top. The top of the cabinet has a nick-nack drawer with removable and loosely fit dividers. Unlike true antique cabinets where the skeleton key serves as a lock and a drawer pull, we added a fine solid brass drawer pull so the key is not needed to open the doors. The table sits on a very solid and heavy saber leg pedestal with Lyre-shaped columns, steel-reinforced saber legs capped with solid brass feet, and levelers.

The tabletop is decorated with pie-cut flame mahogany Veneers and finished with solid mahogany edging, and everything is finished with an extra dark walnut color. This dark walnut finish was developed for transitional homes decorated with pastel colors and for historic homes with dark trim and patina. It is a very dark, rich color that is virtually black in a dim lit dining room.
