Kidney-shaped desk with gilt-tooled black leather top.  A high-end antique reproduction with variegated walnut cross-banded raised panels, solid oak drawers, and black leather inset top.  This kidney desk sits on two pedestal cabinets and a privacy panel. The generous privacy panel features a removable rear panel, revealing a storage area suitable for a large surge protector or monitor lift. The top of the desk has a large hinged trap door with a half-moon cutout for cable management. The desk has graduated drawers on the left, two pencil drawers, and a large storage area on the right.  The doors and drawers feature finely decorated brass pulls, which were crafted using traditional lost-wax casting techniques.  The desk is a medium golden brown, which coordinates well with walnut and mahogany. The lightly distressed finish on this desk is the result of a meticulous, multi-step process that creates a warm, patina-rich appearance resembling a period piece.  The finish is forgiving, easy to touch up, and suitable for active families.   The glazed black leather top has warm undertones and gilt tooling. Inside the privacy panel, we've included and attached a removable solid wood mounting block, which has been sized and designed to accept a Nexus 21 Model L-23 monitor lift. The NEXUS lift is NOT included in this item.
