Our Dardar Quilt Set is exactly what is needed for an inspirational palette creating a unique style. It is in a beautiful color that will add a touch of style to any bedroom. Available in 3 different sizes Twin. Queen and King.

Did not order bedding set but the quilt only; shams were not available. Ordered king size for queen bed so that sides would be longer, they are, (maybe too long). We happened to have shams and coverlet that work OK. We have not washed this quilt; will have to take care NOT to pull the long decorative stitching during washing. This is medium weight. I have been looking to replace a favorite quilt that is so old it is coming apart. I thought this may be the one. It is not exactly what I had hoped for. The material is burlap-y, not soft and smooth like I hoped. It also has a smell that I think is from the dye. I am going to attempt wash it in the hopes that it will be better. The label says it is washable in delicate so that is what I will do. I was also a bit disappointed that for the high price it would come with pillow shams. Hugh is a classic matelassé constructed of mercerized cotton for a sleek appearance and hand feel. The all-over stippling design provides subtle interest, and the coverlet is finished with scalloped edge rounded front corners. Matelasse (mat-la-SAY) is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. Matelass may be achieved by hand, on a jacquard loom, or a quilting machine. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. It is a heavy, thick textile that appears to be padded, but actually has no padding within the fabric. Our Hugh Matelasse has a soft, pebble-like texture.

Geoff is cotton velvet on one side, tacked with natural cotton ties, and reverses to natural a cotton/flax back, with a lofty filling. This quilt is inspired by traditions that cross oceans when quilts were quickly tied tacked to be prepared for winter weather. We see the tie tacks as more than a swift function of days gone by, but as a beautiful tradition, we honor the luxurious materials in Geoff.

Very happy with this purchase. It met all expectations. The quilt does not make me too hot or leave me too cold. It is nicely neutral. In addition, my two cats love it.
