Lovely and very cozy blanket. Simplicity at its best

Returned this item. It had a rip within one week of using it. I bought it because I purchased the previous version by the same manufacturer 10 years ago and absolutely loved it. But they've changed the materials and construction. Honestly, it doesn't even feel like cotton. I think it may be synthetic. I can't believe the manufacturer is charging $400 for something that started to fall apart in one week and feels scratchy and awful.

Initially we loved this coverlet. It seemed to be the perfect weight, and it already had the worn-in feel to it. Unfortunately, that is it's downfall too. It ripped in 3 places in my front loading washing machine. I am very careful, and my washing machine has never ripped anything. The fabric is so thin that this is unusable now. I am so disappointed. The quilt was very expensive and definitely a splurge. I do not recommend it.

There are clumps of stuffing fabric in the quilted squares that doesn't lie flat. And it hasn't even been washed yet!
