I was surprised when I took the sheet out of the package and itchy felt and sounded like they were of paper. After washing they still have that paper feel. Not soft at all. I have bought other organic cotton sheets and they were soft. I big disappointment for the price.

After a first wash before use (gentle cycle as per instructions), one of the pillow covers came out torn. The fabric also feels more like a stiff new shirt than soft sheets. Maybe that will improve with time.
