This was the perfect tile for our backsplash with the grey upper cabinets and the green(sage) lower cabinets. It's like it was made for our kitchen. The only disappointment was that when I needed one more box I couldn't get the lower price (for not ordering a large quantity again). Always order more than you think! Its waiting on grout but its down and it looks amazing yes the color is more true to terracotta than I expected it is beautiful! I love the size, shape and color of the tiles. They feel like they are well made. I was happy they arrived intact despite not being super carefully packed (they were not insulated in the package with foam or packing material, but the smaller box of tile was in a larger box that did have packing materials). The way they were packaged might not work out well for a larger order with multiple boxes. There was a residue on each tile (maybe because there was nothing between them in the package) but it scrapes off. I did not see the color variation that is shown in the stock photos. This material has gone through a "tumbling" process to obtain a warm and antique look/feel. The edges of these mosaic tiles are rounded (worn off) and the surface is antiqued.

This field tile just like any natural stone, its pigmentation is varied. It has a subtle swirling pattern, irregular, but not obtrusive. This is an elegant, warm, and cozy natural stone.

Purchased 2 boxes (20 pcs) 12x12 copper slate tiles. 2 tiles fell apart on first handling. 5 tiles were warped so badly that the backs rocked 1/2" - 3/4" against a flat surface. 4 had dramatic differences in thickness making them tricky to blend. I used a diamond scarfing disc on my variable speed orbital grinder to adequately flatten the backs of the warped tiles so it'll work out for my backsplash addition. We installed the sage for kitchen backsplash. This tile looks amazing. It has so many hues of green it compliments our corian pine countertop wonderfully. The tile is unevenly textured, some tiles appear cracked and fixed, some are flecked and because of this it has great character. Any imperfections we had in our installation are easily hidden. The tile is lovely. The red/orange hue shows a little through the white coloring though. One thing to note is to make sure the grouter knows not to fill in the gaps on edge of the surface.
