I used this slate both inside and out and love the way it looks. Our new home is modern industrial and the rustic feel of this slate was the look we were trying to achieve. It does show footprints and we did use this in high traffic areas like our entry. We used a few rugs to cut down on the maintenance which is no more than a damp mop. We did have the slate professionally sealed to keep the dark rich color. It also looks good as seating on our reclaimed brick fireplace and as a walkway to the front door.
