Months before we began our renovation, I fell in love with this sconce and had to have it. I finally bought a pair for our powder room and when I opened the boxes was surprised that the finish was different from the picture, even though they will still work well with the décor once they're installed. What's different: the back plate is more of an antique brass (yellower) and the "branch" is more of an antique bronze (browner.) In the photo the sconce was more of an antique gold throughout. These are beautiful fixtures. They have very clean lines and are a nice weight. There are two shades. One heavier tinted ribbed one inside a larger clear class one.
