I have to say I was nervous when I got home and found the box by the door upside down with the “This Side Up” arrow pointing down. It did look a little squished when I first took it out of the box, but I misted it and after sitting upright for a while, it bounced back really well. It’s actually a very beautiful little plant and looks cute with my other plants.. Nicole. Orlando, FL. Mon Jun 27 2022

Modern versions are easy to care for. A bonsai adds a Zen-like quality to your home. This Asian art form of pruning is centuries old. An ancient tradition for your modern home. Although traditional bonsai are grown outdoors, our modern bonsai are raised to be grown indoors. These little trees add instant beauty and life wherever they grow. Bonsai is an ideal houseplant for any home, apartment, or office. Because this houseplant can tolerate low light, it excels in office cubicles. Recent studies prove that keeping plants in your office space makes you more productive. Bonsai add instant vibrancy to any style of indoor décor. NASA’s clean air study concluded that houseplants promote better air quality in your home. The study by NASA found that houseplants actively remove chemical pollutants from the air. All plants help purify the air by removing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Here’s a tip: NASA researchers recommend at least one houseplant for every 100 square feet to improve the air quality in your home. Bonsai prefer a bright spot indoors. Place next to a sunny window. Water bonsai once the top inch or so of the potting mix starts to dry. It's important not to overwater bonsai; too much water can make the roots drown and die. Fertilize the bonsai plant once every six months or so with a general-purpose fertilizer labeled for use on houseplants. Bonsai does require yearly pruning to keep it in shape and from outgrowing its container. When shaping your bonsai, don't forget to remove the plant from its pot and prune the roots as well as the shoots, to keep it from becoming rootbound.

Create your tropical paradise with the brightly patterned foliage of this dieffenbachia - a low-maintenance houseplant. Native from Mexico to South America, dieffenbachia loves humidity, making it an ideal plant for bathrooms and kitchens. This colorful houseplant requires minimal care and will add exotic leafy beauty to any home, apartment, or office. The Nasa clean air study concluded that houseplants promote better air quality in your home. Grow dieffenbachia in medium or bright (but not direct) sunlight. If it doesn't get enough light, it may stop growing. Move it to a brighter spot to activate growth. It likes soil on the dry side. It hates overly moist or soggy soil. If the plant's leaves are droopy, it may not be getting enough water. Fertilize dieffenbachia a few times a year, in spring and summer, to keep it healthy. Use a general-purpose fertilizer labeled for houseplant use. Follow the directions on the fertilizer packaging for recommendations on how much to use. Remove yellow or faded leaves by clipping them off at the base of the stem. Re-pot your plant when it becomes root-bound. It can be grown outdoors in a planter or mixed with annuals on a deck or patio for the summer. It makes an ideal focal point for a planter. Bring the plant indoors as the weather cools down.
