This rug looks 100 years old, and I mean that in the best way. I have 2 large Persian hand knotted wool rugs and this one is softer than anything I'd imagine that's made of wool. I would describe this as feeling like chenille, very luxurious to walk on and soft. The one thing that I didn't expect was that it is a flat weave rug with a very low pile, it is more like a tapestry. This means that I will have to purchase a very thick rug pad for underneath, so it wouldn't lay wrinkled on the floor. The colors are accurate and muted, it is very, very beautiful.. Jessica.
