This polka dot derives from a traditional Japanese folk pattern. It's also an authentic double ikat, created with a complex dying and weaving technique that's more than 1,000 years old.
Hadiya Williams used markers to draw the original artwork for drift, an evocative undulating pattern with a unique stripe effect and an interesting interplay of positive and negative. Printed by hand on a cotton-linen union cloth, this modern medium-scale fabric works beautifully on furniture, windows, and pillows.
