This light is fabulous! We are using it in a hallway that was always dark where three doors come together in very close proximity. Just outside our bedroom there is a door to the basement, and a door to the hall closet. There was no light here before. The light went up easily according to my Electrician and it is a great bright light. It is also dimmable! We chose not to dim it, because of the location we are using it. But it has a built in dimmer so it would just require the appropriate dimmer switch and you'd be all set if that's your need. We love how bright it is without being glaring and it's a warm white so it looks more like a traditional incandescent light. It's so sleek you hardly notice it!
