We’ve had several wood stove kettles. What we liked about this one is the vents in the lid which allow for more steam to be released. One inconvenient feature is that the knob on the lid is very small. When the kettle is hot, you need to use a glove to lift the lid. It’s difficult to grasp the knob with a bulky fireplace glove. Nice. A little bit small. It does say “compact”. But scales in compared to size of our F35 Jotul wood stove. It doesn’t over power the small stove. Wish it had an embers rake tool, really needed with these new gen stoves technology. Guess I will just get a bbq grill coal rake to move embers in order to develop a level ember bed.
