This beautiful wall screen, comprised of four individual plaques, is hand-painted and hand-lacquered, and made of sturdy Elmwood. It depicts a typical Ching Ming Festival, also known as "Grave-sweeping Day," a national holiday in China to celebrate ancestors. The scene is reminiscent of a famous Song dynasty artwork known as Along the River During the Qingming Festival.
Beautiful. Didn't realize it at the time but it is an ancestry bridge.. Laura. Vero Beach, FL. Tue Feb 13 2024
