This Ikat area rug is hand-woven from wool, it brings a touch of artisanal craftsmanship to your space. Very nice quality rug, tightly woven, and colors look very close to the photo online. They are rich but muted. The red is almost a red-brown. My only complaint is that it is described as "hand-knotted", which means there should be a plush cut pile on the top, and knots on the underside. But this is actually a flat-weave rug - thinner and has no pile. Not exactly a soft surface, but not scratchy either. Acceptably comfortable to bare feet, but will definitely require a good felt rug pad to feel ok underfoot, or to sit on the floor, which I like to do in front of the fire.
