The artist creates a coastal landscape using a bolder darker color palette with heavier brushstrokes, yet still manages to capture the airiness of the light on the surface of the water. The waterway leads the viewer into a familiar low country landscape.
Artist Fern Cassidy was born in Oakland, CA, but grew up in Colorado. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors, food, and painting. Fern studied drawing and painting at CSU Long Beach, where she learned a lot from the professors she trained under, gaining the most from her hands-on experiences.
This piece is expertly printed using archival ink on board and skillfully hand-assembled with a pine wood frame. Hanging hardware is included for easy installation.
