My original solenoid failed after only 3 short years. This resolved my problem just fine, its just unfortunate that Grohe wouldn't uphold their warranty on a 3 year old part, because I lacked the proper paperwork. Other companies try a bit harder to take care of the end user in an attempt to build loyalty. I am not loyal to Grohe and will purchase other faucet systems in our future gyms.. Truf. Bellevue, WA.
