It really helped with charcoal organizing, air flow, and cleanup. You’ll be reluctant at first when you see the price. You may even consider purchasing a less expensive alternative… Don’t. I took a chance, trusting the quality of the other products from Kamado Joe and honestly had to laugh when this arrived. The images don’t do it justice and when you retrieve it from it’s careful packaging, use two hands. The basket is fabricated out of ~1/4” stainless rod and will be remaining long after we die. However, the hooks get in the way on the Classic 1 and do not allow you to put the heat deflectors on the lowest tier of the divide and conquer. You have to balance it on the hooks of the basket or use the x accessory. I took an angle grinder and cut them off, now my heat deflectors can go on the bottom tier again.. Graydon. Houston, Texas.
