Austin Beiv grew up in the tough streets of Brooklyn. Where the expression of one’s self was usually done through wall tagging, or as we say in Italian "graffito". Austin was influenced by many different artists particularly Fernando Carlo. Fernando was well known for his expressive graffiti. The influence from Austin’s childhood is where the edge and contemporary look comes from in his art pieces. Austin graduated from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s. Austin now travels all over America to look for inspirations whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum. Austin loves to embrace all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.

I was born in the Foothills of California, a small town called Tuolumne, fairly close to Yosemite National Park. I studied textile design and oil painting. I studied at a local community college back home and at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandise. Art has a lot of meaning for me. It’s a way of communicating, expressing myself, and connecting myself to my thoughts and to others. I find inspiration mainly from nature and emotions. I like to use all mediums, but my favorites are oil, acrylic, and watercolor. I enjoy being outdoors, playing music, painting, singing, writing, and being with friends.
