I really love this console. Unfortunately, the company that delivered it (the only one in my area that delivers furniture for a lot of online furniture sellers, like Wayfair), was terrible and dropped and damaged it. It took a little work but PerigoldWayfair replaced it. Because this is (extremely) heavy and all one piece, they told me I could keep the broken one. Verite features sawn planks of European white oak in their natural state and will show all of the hallmarks of naturally dried wood, including knots, color variation, and cracking. Although finished in a highly protective top coat, every Verite top will vary in appearance and coloration from piece to piece.
