This contemporary rug is a grand new entry to Rug & Kilim’s custom classics Burano Collection.Hand knotted in wool, this design is inspired by 17th century antique rugs of the Kerman province. This particular style was often called “vase carpet” for its depiction of flower vases in a riot of colors.Our contemporary approach recaptures that polychromatic style on a slate gray field and light gold border. Keen eyes will note the sheer variety of rich and bright hues, and admire the sense of movement they create in kind.
