The placemats were packaged very well. In my opinion I don't think they look like leather, but they do have a nice texture. The front and back seem slightly different in the texture. An 11" dinner plate barely fits on the placemat, so I think they could be larger.

These are not leather looking or feeling at all. Simply vinyl oval place mats. Very disappointed in the quality and even more disappointed Wayfair is charging me $14.50 to return them. Not purchasing from here again.
