These bowls are not very deep. I was hoping for a bowl that holds more. Otherwise, the quality is good.

I wanted something different, that didn't look like all the other sets of dishes I'd seen. This set gives the appearance of a sunburst, and the shapes are awesome.

I have greatly enjoyed using these rimmed soup bowls, not only for soups and gumbos, but also for pasta. Because I have the larger 11 inch rimmed pasta bowls (no longer sold, I use the larger ones for the gentlemen and the smaller 9 1/2 inch for the ladies. It is the perfect size for a large variety of meals, for chili, gumbo, soups and pastas.

I really like every piece of this set. The large soup bowl with raised rim. I use it for soup, pasta and stews. I usually like a mug for coffee or tea. This cup and saucer is large enough to keep in theme. I use it everyday and am very glad I purchased this set.

These rim soup bowls can do double duty - soup, of course, but also pasta bowl. I like the wide rim - you can put a piece of roll there - handy to dip. I know my guests will make a comment. And, they fit right in with all the other pieces in the set. My service is definitely more complete now. It is an obvious match. (Sometimes, soup bowls do not really match all the flat dinner plates & salad plates.) The display image appears to be off-color to the rest of the set, but in reality it is a perfect match. Another example of being pleased with Mikasa. That is important when you order on-line without actually seeing and handling the item. Tom (Florida)
