I was afraid it might be reddish or pinkish based on some of the web photos. But no. The unit is very well constructed and assembly was easy. I was shocked at the condition this expensive item was delivered in. On delivery the entire bottom of the packaging was torn off and the centre leg was broken. Not sure how I am going to repair that. The drawers are disappointing as they are not easy glide and for the price of the chest, I expected better quality be put into making them open and close without a struggle.
