Inspired by a sixteenth-century Spanish rug influenced by Renaissance damasks. The palmette, leaf, and oval lattice scroll pattern is rendered in shades within a border of repeating pyramids. This hand-made cut and loop rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the Savonnerie pile weave. We used ancient French dyeing methods to create thousands of shade and texture variations reminiscent of the frescoes of Pompeii. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
