This is due to the fact that the finely woven rugs that were created in major weaving cities, were not actually designed by the weavers themselves. But in the tribal and nomadic rugs the weavers did everything from cultivating the wool, to constructing the rug weaving looms, to actually dreaming of the designs on the fly and tying, by hand, each and every knot.
