While its art nouveau motif, Blackthorn, part of our collaboration with the William Morris Gallery, dates back to 1892, this design is woven from sumptuous British wool by Axminster Carpets, creators of the world's finest floor coverings since 1755. Yet despite all this (and the fact it's made to last for decades), this piece is thoroughly modern, thanks to its statement shade of 'Petrol' and subtle gothic undertones (note the skull lurking amongst the symmetrical blooms).
