An introduction to master rug weaving from India. The design is a revival of Agra patterns. What distinguishes the hand-knotted Agra patterns, are the large floral palmettes. The new innovation of this rug is the texture and colors. The antique effect in the rug is achieved with a combination of the finest quality spun wool together with a simple soap wash and new contemporary colors. The wool is from a mixture of native Indian wool and New Zealand wool. The wool in the rug retains its natural lanolin, which one can feel by hand, in the pile.
