These designs are revivals of Agra patterns from the Oriental Mughul period. What distinguishes these handwoven Agra patterns, are the large floral palmettes. The antique effect in these rugs is achieved with a combination of the finest quality spun wool together with a simple soap wash and new contemporary colors. The wool is from a mixture of native Indian wool and New Zealand wool. The wool in these rugs retains its natural lanolin, which one can feel by hand, in the pile.
