Based on an original Asmara painting by Russian theater artist Ludmila Slavinsky, inspired by a 17th-century Spanish rug with Italian Renaissance influences. This rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the ancient French Savonnerie pile weave. Woven with a complex yarn made up of several yarns of different shades, this rug has a unique texture and shading variations reminiscent of rare antique rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
