Hadn't realized this was made in China until it arrived. I don't feel Chinese goods are made as well as Made in the good ol' US of A. We are very happy with these pharmacy lamps. We purchased 2 as part of a new living room seating grouping. They are perfect in that they can be adjusted up or down and the bulb cover can be tilted to a good reading angle. At the same time they do not block the view across the room.
