I love this lamp! I ordered an open box item and it arrived well packaged in a short amount of time. Unfortunately it arrived without a shade. Perigold was very responsive and gave me full credit refund. I was able to purchase a shade elsewhere, though it's not as nice as the original. But it is a decent substitute. Hadn't realized this was made in China until it arrived. I don't feel Chinese goods are made as well as Made in the good ol' US of A. Fluting cut into the base is the first thing to notice about the Callum Floor Lamp, quiet ornament that grounds a tall, slim column. Solid brass runs from that base up through the stem to the tapered shade, so the lamp reads as one continuous material rather than assembled parts. A protective topcoat keeps the brass from tarnishing, which means no polishing routine to keep up. The metal shade sends light downward over a chair or console instead of glowing all around. A foot switch on the cord handles on and off.
