The Bancroft single sconces are the perfect transitional sconces IMO. They can be mounted with the shade opening up or down and they look great with a wide range of hardware, not just from Kohler but other brands too. The shade is very beautiful too, not too old fashioned and not too modern. I already have these sconces in chrome and polished nickel, and now I want oil-rubbed bronze for another area in my home. But I need a more consistent bronze color and these sconces have very noticeable coppery highlights IRL, more than I was expecting. I'm new to oil rubbed bronze, maybe it's always like this. :) I bought the sconces in the open box area for a very low price and they're in perfect condition, so I'll find someone who wants them, or I might experiment with paint.

Kohler is definitely a well known brand, and our clients love that this coordinates with their Bancroft faucet. The light seemed a little cheap and the glass in one of the sconces didn't fit properly, but the price-point is fantastic!
