This is a very pretty lamp and agree that is is high quality. That said, it is quirky! I cannot find the off/on switch and so it is plugged into an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch and I simply cannot find the foot dimmer that is supposedly in/on the base of the lamp.

Purchased this lamp for a client and it was the perfect choice! Very high quality.
