The lamp is an absolute work of Art! The design and craftsmanship are top notch. It is a statement piece that is anchoring the center of my audio room. The cherry co traits well with ny walnut floors and the light is warm and provides a good accent. It was packaged very well with good supports and cushioning.

Simply put, I love it. Even better than I hoped. The light is warm and soft, so if youre looking for something very bright you might want to consider another option, but the play of light and shadow is beautiful and it adds just the right amount of brightness without feeling intrusive. Everyone whos seen it has immediately wanted a closer look.

This is a beautiful lamp. I would say it looks like you see it. I do think that the varnishing job was not done perfectly- like you might expect from a hand made lamp? the lights are soft and the red color highlights are not loud but muted- which is great. You have choice as to how to position the wood slats which is nice.
