It covers the entire sink bowl, thus converting your sink into a countertop when you need. Also included is a a 5-inch deep stainless steel colander that you can use as a strainer or a drying caddy. The sink features a thick solid 8 gauge (5mm thick) rim all around that sits topmount on your countertop. The rest of the sink is constructed of 16 gauge stainless steel, one of the thickest steel available for residential kitchens.

The on-line purchasing process was amazingly fast and easy. The shipping experience was also fantastic, the package arrived w/in the expected window and was received in perfect condition. We had the sink professionally installed as the install required some granite cutting and grinding for a proper fit. The finished product is just what we were looking for, a clean modern look. The sink surface is easily cleaned with warm soap and water. To prevent scratches, we purchased two silicon bottom mats and they actually look pretty good. We did replace the included drain strainers as they looked cheap and distracted from the otherwise beautiful appearance of the Ruvati Sink. Based on measurements of my counter space and granite setting, I couldn’t get an apron front or an undermount. This was a great alternative. I love the workstation and accessories offerings but I bought the Ruvati Accessories Multi-function Workstation Organizer and Caddy with Soap Dispenser and Knife Block because I thought it would work great. The caddy is very rigidly straight and the sink slopes in very slightly as you get deeper. Sad to say the caddy did not fit. So hard to find a built in backsplash. I like that it just has a lip and not the full front, lots of those models. When countertop material is expensive this saves needing to buy several feet of material for the little strip of counter in front and back of the sink. It is too expensive, but this saves a little.
