I got this stockpot with the steamer pan for blanching vegetables. It did not disappoint. The water heats fast in this pot. I have a cheaper pot and it takes forever to heat water. So easy to clean up. I actually have a whole set that I bought 18 years ago and am still using. They/ still look new so when I was looking for this pot that is why I selected this one. This pot is awesome ! It can cook a small to extra large batch of just about anything. In addition, I use when home canning so I get double use out of it in that manner. If I decide to keep something in in overnight, it easily fits into my frog because of the flat lid. It saves room in my cabinets too due to the flat lid. I own 2 of these now. I’ve used the first one for about 2 years and have had no problems. I do always use soft utensils when stirring so as not to scratch the inside of it. This is expensive for a single pot in my opinion but I was willing to pay the extra because of its size and versatility and the way in which it has held up over several years. I have a few pieces of cookware by Mepra, and I was not disappointed in this medium size soup and casserole pot. First off, my other soup pots are quite large whereas this one is the perfect size for cooking for two or even one.
