I got this stockpot with the steamer pan for blanching vegetables. It did not disappoint. The water heats fast in this pot. I have a cheaper pot and it takes forever to heat water. So easy to clean up. I actually have a whole set that I bought 18 years ago and am still using. They/ still look new so when I was looking for this pot that is why I selected this one. This pot is awesome ! It can cook a small to extra large batch of just about anything. In addition, I use when home canning so I get double use out of it in that manner. If I decide to keep something in in overnight, it easily fits into my frog because of the flat lid. It saves room in my cabinets too due to the flat lid. I own 2 of these now. I’ve used the first one for about 2 years and have had no problems. I do always use soft utensils when stirring so as not to scratch the inside of it. This is expensive for a single pot in my opinion but I was willing to pay the extra because of its size and versatility and the way in which it has held up over several years. Love this beautiful little stock pot! It heats quickly and evenly. I did stir my sauce pretty regularly, but it did not stick to the bottom of the pan at all. This is just the strainer not a stock pot. It will work in a stock pot. You don’t get a lid or a pot it is just the strainer that is pictured even though it says it is a stock pot. I have an induction cooktop so I'm always looking for good induction compatible cookware. I bought this about a month ago and had used it only once prior today. When I got it out of the cabinet I noticed a chip on the handle. I have no idea how that got there but I have used it, and I no longer have a receipt. I cooked with it today and while I was washing it, warm water, Dawn detergent - I saw a small crack appear in the enamel near the top of the pot. I have used this pot TWICE. I am so disappointed because there is nothing I can do about it. I would try to return it but without a receipt I'm sure I'm out of luck. I have a few pieces of cookware by Mepra, and I was not disappointed in this medium size soup and casserole pot. First off, my other soup pots are quite large whereas this one is the perfect size for cooking for two or even one. It’s extremely well made with a sturdy lid which fits tight and nice large handles for easing carrying. It distributes the heat evenly, and clean up is a breeze with the non-stick surface.
