We installed this 5 years ago on a remodel and had looked at the 9" depth in the store and decided on that one. We didn't realize right next to it was the 5" depth and when we went back to order at the plumbing store, accidentally just pointed the 5" depth out in a rush to get it ordered. When it arrived, the plumber pointed it out and said we would hate it and offered to return and reorder, but we had already waited 3 weeks for this one and were eager to be done with the remodel so we opted to keep it. We are 5 years in and wish we had paid more attention and listened to our plumber. The sink, while lovely and works, is not deep enough to counter splashing when washing hands, pots, etc. and so as a result the granite around the sink is already showing signs of hardwater stains that we will have to pay to have polished out. This sink is a really great size, and just fits over my 30" cabinet base. I love the lip and the colander that slides side to side. While it shipped quickly, it arrived completely cracked in half. However Zeeshan with customer service was able to quickly remedy the problem and I should have a new sink in 3 days without having to ship the 110lb broken sink back. We have another Shaw’s sink that we love, but they have to be packaged correctly or will break in transit. Our first sink came on a pallet and hopefully the next one will too.. Rachael. Newport, KY.
