I use it to cook on the stove top and convection. It cooks evenly and it's durable yet isn't so heavy that it's easier to use than any other cookware I've had in the past. One feature that I really love is the design of the handles, lid and overall look of the cookware is so nice that I am happy to put it directly on the serving board or the table. The website clearly says "convenient" to clean and "dishwasher safe"; so does the box. There's even a photo of the pan being washed in a dishwasher on the website. And yet.... The printed booklet inside the box says "Regular dishwashing is not recommended." and "We strongly recommend washing by hand.". and " Dishwasher products...can damage the aluminum that forms part of the base..."
