I gave my entire family a talking to before I let them near the brownies I had just made for my pans first use, do not cut in the pan! That is the secret to keeping this pan from getting scratched up. Use a plastic spatula to cut and lift it will keep your pan like new. It's kind of a pain but the pan is wonderful and the lifespan is in your hands so use it as the directions state
