I went back and forth on this sink for months. I was going to go with an apron sink because...well, i like them and they're popular. It's what you see on all the blogs and whatnot. I am SO HAPPY I went with this sink. I love to cook and entertain and this has been absolutely amazing. We were nervous going from a double sink to a single but it's NOT a small sink. If you're thinking about getting this and are a home cook/chef...do it. You won't regret it.

I have used this for two clients now, and it just never fails to impress. Aside from the expected quality steel, etc. that Kohler always provides, it's smart and it scratches the funny bone of organization fanatics like myself. The solid cutting board is beautiful and practical and when you slide it from side to side, it allows you prevent cut foods from going into the drain/disposal or lets you slide them right on in. I love the accessory package that comes with this as well. The in-sink rack is so practical, and the under cabinet storage for the bowls and tray are nothing short of brilliant! PRO's NOTE: Make certain your countertop fabricator knows about the cutting board and that they are cutting the stone with tolerances that are going to allow for this to slide easily back and forth. I had a it happen once before where we let them cut off the CAD drawings and it didn't turn out well. My advise would be that you send the whole unit with them.

This sink is great for a cook that prepares meats and fish. I use the raised section to clean food. Sometimes I will use it to dry hand washed dishes. I was skeptical about ordering such and expansive item on line but make sure you register your Kohler items with Kohler directly. You may do this by calling their customer service number. The raised area does need to be on the left. These were directions from both Wayfair and Kohler. My countertop person didn't know this. The cutting board is very heavy and beautiful. Love the prep bowls. This is definitely a cooks sink. The bowl is deep and the construction of the sink is lovely.
