Just showed this to my husband today. He is so impressed by how ingenious this item is. Pretty sure hes on the phone calling all his friends to tell them about this trash can. Highly recommend!

It broke before filling the third bag. I'm not sure if the part that's missing was never on the product and it lasted a week or so, or if the item went into the trash never to be seen again. The real bummer is that without this broken insert you can't even use the trash can as a can without the compactor. Instead, it's more or less junk unless you can repair it yourself. Good luck, but I would not recommend this product.

Finally, a can that my aussiepoo can’t open! Love the bags that come with and will continue to buy them because they’re sturdier. Regular garbage bags are too flimsy and tear when compacting. Be warned though, it’s been months and my husband still struggles to install the new bag. Lol

This is the best cancompactor and I liked it so much I bought a second.

Smaller than I thought falls apart easily not worth the money

Pleasantly surprised! We moved to a new house and trash pick up is less than at our old house. This has been the perfect solution.

Other than having a dent from shipping, The trash can works great I love it. I would have given a much higher rating if not for the shipping mishap.

If I was a single person, it may have been ok. Even though the can was the same dimensions of my previous standard can, the mechanism and liner made it smaller. The compactor component was not sufficient to make up for that. With a family of four, I actually felt as if I were changing the bags more often. Neither my husband nor I could press the compactor down hard enough to make much of a difference.
