Has a life span of about 4-5 years. Thought it would have lasted longer, unfortunately the blower died a loud and awful death. Seeing blowers are more than 1k I’ll take my chances with something different. Dissatisfied overall. Buttons didn’t work on command, and as stated in other reviews it is very loud.

Frankly I am disappointed with this product. The exhaust at the lowest setting is very loud! My previous hood, a Bosch product, had three settings and the lowest setting made very little noise. This GE hood is extremely loud at the lowest setting and each subsequent setting is intolerable and interferes with all activities (conversation, TV, radio) in our kitchen/family room/dining area. Would not recommend this product.

In a new build this range hood makes a statement! It is flanked by 2 white upper cabinets and the tile behind the hood is white. lower cabinets are vertical grain contemporary. the Range hood is beautiful in the space, but also does a great job with the exhaust and the light is great to leave on as a night light.

I recently purchased the GE Hood Vent for my kitchen and I am extremely satisfied with the product. The vent hood is not only functional but also stylish, and it has greatly improved the air quality in my kitchen. However, there is one concern that I have regarding the LED light on the hood vent. The light is very bright and does not have a way to make it softer. I have a warmer light for my kitchen cabinets with a color temperature of around 2.7k. When both the hood light and the cabinet lights are on, they clash and create an unpleasant visual effect. I was wondering if there is any way to make the current bright light on the vent hood warmer? Perhaps, there are alternative bulbs or color filters that I could use to reduce the brightness and make the light color warmer to match my cabinet lighting. I would appreciate any suggestions or ideations that you might have in this regard. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the GE Hood Vent, and I hope that we can find a solution to address my concerns about the LED light.
