Image brush gel finish is a hand-applied gel finish using strokes that follow the line of the original image giving it a subtle texture. It involves applying thick coats of gel using a brush or knife to give 3d texture to the art even once dried.

This is a beautiful print that fits in perfectly with the decor in our sitting room. Very peaceful and serene. At the recommendation of Design Services, we ordered the 'glass coat' to create a more 'high end' look. Unfortunately, we get a lot of natural light in this area which creates a glare. Although born and raised in Los Angeles, artist Van Garret has been heavily influenced by traveling abroad to a multitude of countries, especially Iceland. Music is a big part of his life and it sparked his creativity even before he began painting. In fact, Van did not begin painting until he was in college and he is self-taught. “Art was something that was always in my genes. It makes me happy. I believe that every artist leaves a piece of themselves in their artwork. In turn, it makes me happy when people get to own part of those pieces to share with the world.” Van prefers working in liquid acrylics and watercolors because of their fluidity. “I like how the colors flow. I like to observe how the different shapes and mixtures come alive.” Van finds animals, humans and nature are his favorite subjects to paint. He is inspired by nature, people, and music. Most always layers are created and taken away, leaving small traces whose threads become more important for doing so.
