Carson is actually a pseudonym selected by an artist wishing to acknowledge her paintings in this uniquely expressionist style. “Whether I’m capturing an autumn stroll through the park, a sunlit afternoon in an English country garden, or a group of couples enjoying a ballroom dance in the 1920s, my work always tells a charming story.” The artist is practiced in a variety of media in the traditional fine arts, including oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Each generous brushstroke forms character and mystery, creating a welcome invitation to join in the merriment of such holidays. The drama of each piece suggests a dauntless yet subtle hand behind the curtain, much like the demeanor of the artist both confident and refined. Sadly, the artist known as Carson died in 2008.

D’Alessandro Léon was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.
