Statue Of Knight

This exclusive high porcelain piece is a limited edition of 500 units. Made in glazed porcelain, the knight’s costume and parts of the horse’s harness are decorated with a newly created bluing luster which manages to emulate the characteristic dark grey metallic color of the chainmail worn by knights at the time. Blue and white tones combined with golden lusters were used for the clothing. Carried out with great attention to detail, the work is composed of 71 fragments taken from 58 different molds. Particularly noteworthy is the sense of movement conveyed by the knight and his steed, thanks to Lladró’s artists’ consummate control of sculptural technique and of the expressive potential of porcelain.

When King Leonidas and the three hundred Spartan Hoplites under his command held off the Persian army at the Thermopylae pass, the courage and sacrifice of these Greek warriors entered into the realm of legend for evermore. This black porcelain sculpture depicts one of those brave soldiers equipped with his spectacular helmet with plumes, a mask that can be placed or removed to reveal the warrior's face thanks to a magnet system shield, lance, and armor. The wealth of detail, added to the decoration, the precisely modeled anatomy and the meticulous ornamentation demonstrate an extraordinary degree of virtuosity. Made in black porcelain and decorated with metallic copper, blue and black enamels. The shield is painted with black luster with a marble effect while the helmet is decorated with aged silver luster. The result is a striking and powerful figure that is at once noble and elegant.

The "Sphinx set of 2" brings the mystique of ancient Egypt to your space. Crafted from white marble with meticulous handwork, each piece is a unique work of art, marked by variations in color and veining. These sphinxes once graced the grave shafts of Philinos or Thalinos during the sixth century B.C. This set is a testament to the early Archaic period's fusion of Greek and Egyptian sculptural styles, bearing the same stylized features and architectural influences. Let them stand as guardians of history and beauty in your home.

The outstretched arms sculpture is made of aluminum on a striated surface that brings one aspect of its design distinction: when the finish is rubbed onto its surface, it collects in the valleys to bring added patina to the gray sculpture. This lends it a textural feel that convinces the eye this is a vintage decorative accessory. In the foyer of a modern home filled with contemporary art, this decorative accessory will hold its own. We offer a number of sculptures in this family of decorative accessories. Each of these reflects the ethos that Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.

This statue brings a touch of myth and artistry to your garden. Handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Tall Satyr Statue by Campania International embodies a blend of classical inspiration and modern craftsmanship. Its design makes it a versatile addition to any outdoor space, providing an intriguing focal point that complements various garden styles. The statue is available in multiple finishes, including aged limestone and copper bronze, allowing you to choose the perfect hue for your landscape.

The statue is gorgeous. It is NOT A SATYR (which has goat horns and legs of a horse). This is likely Bacchus (Roman) or Dionysus (Greek). It is stunning and perfect for my collection of statuary. The delivery was highly problematic, however, which put a dent in my experience.. John. Washington State. Wed Mar 12 2025

Adorable dragon statue that is just the right size for the front yard.. Mark. Pasadena, CA. Thu Feb 19 2026

A representation of its supreme power over all creatures in oriental mythology, Protective Dragon is a High Porcelain creation, in a limited edition of 777 units to commemorate Lladro's seven decades. A symbol of strength, protection, and good luck, this legendary being, existing in ancient oriental cultures, wards off evil spirits, protects the innocent, and provides safety to all those who possess it. This special edition stands out for its striking decoration, with a special mention of the golden luster combined with details in blue and red enamels. The hundreds of scales covering the dragon's skin are minutely hand-painted one by one. The undulating shape of this complex sculpture is reminiscent of the figure eight, the number of good luck in oriental culture.

George Sellers created Athena by hand carving it from clay; a plaster casting was then sent to Italy for production in ceramic. The original, thought to be from the 4th century BC, is on display at the Louvre in Paris, France. Athena was the Greek goddess of many things: wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. Minerva is the Roman goddess equivalent of Athena. The Greek city of Athens and the goddess Athena essentially bear the same name. Our goddess is made from terracotta-based ceramic, formulated in a method the Italians refer to, the act of packing a perfectly produced mold with terracotta clay. Once allowed to dry it is pulled away from the mold and transferred to a kiln where it's fired at 950 degrees, then fired for a 2nd time after being glazed in our signature antique white glaze. Warrior goddess extraordinaire and all from the hands of George Sellers.

This flip flop-inspired garden accent is handcrafted by skilled artisans. The stepping stone combines playful design with quality craftsmanship. Its intricate detailing brings a unique charm to your outdoor space, making it more inviting.

He is really lovely. I don’t understand why there is just one photo of him in the listing. He is 3 dimensional and handsome at many angles. My only complaint was the packaging-the box was too short and his ear broke (but easily fixed with epoxy). Meanwhile the same box was so wide that the (shredded wood) packaging is a LOT to get rid of.. Lisa. San Francisco, CA. Mon Sep 18 2023
