Our Anya Clock features an ethereal, natural stone disk suspended in a bronze-finished frame. It makes a chic, modern statement and is sized perfectly for display on a tabletop, bookshelf, or mantle.

I eyed this clock for months and finally bit the bullet and ordered, even though it was now $900+ when it was less than $800 at one point last winter. I received only to find the stone face had a crack that ran from the top of the clock to the bottom and was cracked through, front to back. The clock didn't work either. When I tried to set the clock with the dial on the motor supply, both hands moved together. I set the clock manually and while the motor worked, the hands hung up on each other and moved together instead of independently, so it didn't keep time at all. Just unbelievable for a clock that is said to be $1,200+ retail. It's pretty and unique, but cracked and doesn't perform it's only function/purpose...? I have no words.. Robin. Davidson, NC. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the Hermle Austen Clock (we chose the Cherry finished case, with the quartz movement). We researched for some time before deciding on this chiming, mantle clock by Hermle. First, the quality is excellent, with a German-made movement and an American-made case. Also, the Cherry finish is perfectly even, and the brass dial and handle are lovely, subtle tones. Just as important, the chimes sound wonderful -- almost as though we were in London and hearing Big Ben from a distance (there are 3 options for the sound of the chimes, we use Westminster). We are very pleased with the clock and the ease of assembling what little there was to do. There is one minor flaw. the battery holder for the pendulum is for batteries with a larger diameter. Normally available AA batteries don't stay in place. In addition, one of the contact springs had green corrosion on the surfaces that contact the base of a battery. We have cleaned the corrosion and will look for tubing that will add apparent size to the batteries.
