I searched forever for an affordable 6 burner gas stove top. Here it is. Upon first installation we had a few issues. 1st was the smell of gas. Had it checked and there was no leak it is the just the smell of the materials used to make it. It was very strong at first. Next issue was that the burners all were set at max power. We had to contact customer service to get a special tool to adjust the burner flames. So everything was burning even on its lowest setting which is another thing Im not crazy about. Purchased 2 months ago. Weather just got really warm 2 weeks ago so used only a small amount. The unit is on a first floor of 1000 sq. ft. with a secondary fan to circulate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having cooked on this new cooktop for 6 weeks, I can happily report that I am enjoying it more than I did my Dacor (on which I experienced a scary igniter failure). Some of expressed concern about the arrangement of the burners and their BTU levels, but that is magic in my view. There is so much customization available that it takes a bit of time to readjust what to cook where -- but that's part of the fun in my opinion. The "stops" that exist between levels of flame, as well as the numbers assigned to each, make it easy to remember what number flame to use next time for that purpose. The only worry I have is scratches because the installer caused one near that simmer burner while setting the cap on and of course now that is there forever, sadly. I had to wait for this model to return to inventory, but the wait was worth it. Highly recommend this Bosch Benchmark model for its beauty, sure, but also for its performance and ease of use!.
