Partners Desks

This is a traditional mahogany partners' desk inspired by partners' desks from the early 1800s. It features swirly crotch mahogany doors, drawers, and side panels. Each side has a file drawer on the right and a storage cabinet with an adjustable shelf on the left. Each side has lockable drawers/doors. The drawers are dovetailed. The desk features a mildly distressed and tooled leather top. The hardware is solid brass.

this desk came fully assembled at least this one did. the guys were professional and very good. I had read the reviews about damage but there is not a scratch on this thing. it is a monster desk that is very heavy. The mahogany wood desk is wrapped in ropey cherry veneer with a Lyric finish. Dark geometric inlays on the top emerge from the veneer’s natural starburst pattern. Ferules and trim are finished in satin brass. Satin brass hardware with antique mirror detail opens the desk’s 1 sliding drawer.

The desk is a beautiful wood however it only has one drawer. The worst part about that drawer is that it is extremely low in height. The organizer I had which was less than 2 inches tall would not fit in this drawer. Additionally the drawer pulls look cheap painted in gold and the drawer does not function smoothly. This desk has a nice detailed open base with a unique curved top. Perfect for open spaces like a bedroom. Made with Rosa Morada, a very fine wood from Mexico. This desk has adjustable gliders for any type of flooring.

Very expensive desk/ took FOREVER to get in. Quality is mediocre. Had many cracks in the wood and splits beyond the “distressed look” described. Also had a moldy looking dust. The drawer was a different color than the desk and brass was gold not aged bronze as shown. Definitely looks like an inexpensive important from Mexico- as apposed to a high- end solid wood desk. Not work $3000 although Wayfair did the right thing and compensated to have the desk repair. Overall would not recommend for the price Again- love Wayfair for ease and time but quality control feels like the products are @seconds” and shipping is almost always an issue. S. AL. Attractiveness 5 stars. Functionality 0 stars. Drawers are sticky, thus the round pulls are worthless for getting the drawers open. File cabinet hardware is set for legal sized folders. There could have been a simple solution, a small slit in the metal hanging devices that would accommodate letter sized folders, but no - very poor design. Also, the file drawers only open about 1/2 way, so files in the back are hidden. And, the drawer guides are extremely poor given the weight of the drawers. Save your money, as this desk was expensive! Keep looking and try other sites rather than Josh and Main! Also, the matching book case finally came with one of the doors broken. In the attached photo, there was no way to close the gap in the bottom left while keeping the section level. Also, the knee clearance is not up to ADA standards.
